本種は本州から記載された。シラカシやスダジイなどブナ科の新葉から得られる。一様に黄色で、単眼間刺毛が後方単眼の前縁を結んだ線上から生じ、腹部腹板はS2刺毛の外側に微刺列があり、前翅の後縁毛が波打たない。

This species was described from Honshu, Japan, and have been collected from the young leaves of Fagaceae such as Quercus myrsinifolia Castanopsis sieboldii. It is uniformly yellow species and has the oceller setae pair III (=interocellar setae) situated at the tangent line of anterior margin of hind ocelli, abdominal sternites with microtrichia at outside of S2 setae and the fore wing with posteromarginal cilia not wavy.
